The re-usable Mascaret metal detectable safety knife features a trigger-activated blade, with a safety button to lock the blade internally. A difference in cutting pressure during the cut will auto-retract the blade, even if the trigger is not released, ensuring maximum safety for the operative. This versatile, safe, fully detectable cutting tool is ideal for cutting cardboard, plastic strapping and general unpacking and processing applications.
The body of the knife is manufactured from various grades of food safe metal detectable composite plastics, including Acetal and Nylon. The blade and internal springs are both made from stainless steel, making the whole of the product fully metal detectable and food safe. The knife is compliant with standard No 1935/2004 (CE) of 27th October 2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
